Default DRL and IPC/DIC Codes

Removed the #2 fuse today to disable the daytime running lights, and got the message on the DIC to "Service Vehicle Soon"

Did a diagnostic and found the following codes:

40 BCM B0502 HC
40 BCM B0507 HC
40 BCM B2482 HC

28 TCS C1281 H

The three under 40 BCM are the DRL circuits. I know these are in the DIC because I removed the fuse. My question is, will it continue to crop up on the DIC or is there a way to keep them from registering??

The 1281 is something to do with my steering wheel sensor. This has been comming up since day 1 of ownership  Seems like clockwork.....every 100 miles or so I will get the "Service Vehicle Soon" message and this will be the ONLY code in the DIC.

I have had the $tealership look at it as well as Speed DEmon when I had the H/C done. $tealership found nothing (I had already cleared it from memory) and said everything checked out ok. Speed Demon said more than likely it was a bad sensor and I should replace it.

Guess I'll need to purchase the service manuals as I hate to take it to the $tealership....

Anyways, I'm rambling.....back to my inquiry:

DRL codes....will they keep comming back and I have to clear, or is there a way to clear permantly?

0502, 0507, 2482 will clear after 50 consecutive drive cycles where the DTC is not detected or you can reset with the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) controls. Several other ways to clear, scan tool, etc.

When 1281 is set a scan tool may display 2 additional characters after the DTC. These characters are an engineering aid to determine the specific criteria for the DTC to be set.

Service manuals, and access to a scan tool, are in order if you don't want to take it into the dealer.

I pulled fuse #2 two years ago and while I have the codes if I go looking for them they do not show on DIC under normal operation.
