Changed my throttle body and now my display reads Reduce Engine Power. No throttle control. What do I need to do besides put my old T/B back on?
The throttle position sensor (TPS) on the T/B must agree with the foot throttle position sensor or you will get the 'reduced engine power'. This is a safety feature for the fly by wire throttle system to prevent an uncommanded throttle up. Based on what you said I believe your TPS on the T/B is bad... Replace it and you will be good to go...

Dude
I got this the other day and the car left me stranded!!!! :cuss :cuss I was on the shoulder of the road going 3 MPH for about 3 miles. Then I reset the DIC code about 5 times and she took off.
Now I get it intermitentaly and I'm afraid to drive the car any distance from home.
So,,, just changing the TPS will fix this? Man,, I hope that you are correct!
GOD :blueangel: I LOVE this forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill, the diagnosis I gave for Crashed 94 was based on his info about changing the throttle body. There are other reasons to get the 'Reduced Engine Power" condition. You need to get the codes from your PCM and that will tell you where your problem is. You can retreve your codes by pushing and holding the option button and then pressing the fuel button 4 times quickly... Copy down the codes and look them up in the service manual or do a search on 'DTC codes' and print off the listing... Good luck.
