Since I bought my 99 FRC, the passenger window has not worked. I removed the door panel, checked all connectors, checked grounds, checked DIC codes, slammed the door with the button depressed....all to no avail.
Then this week in a tread started by "Marks99FRC" , that has the same problem, a helpful forum member " Seamoore" suggested that the door panel be removed, and the Motor/Regulator unit be tapped (hit) while depressing the window button. Volia!!!!!! She's working now!!!!!
Near as I can tell, the regulating gearing may park at the upper limits, (or just slightly above the upper limits), of travel in such a way that the motor does not have enough torque to un-park them. Tapping on the unit helps the elec. motor do it's thing. To prevent this from reoccuring, I may olny roll the window full up with the door closed. ( Might Help)
Again thanks to Seamoore for his timely tip!!!! And to Marks99FRC for starting the thread!
Re: HOT TIP! Window fix for motor/Reg. (vettemike182)
It's (almost) always the passenger side window, since it's not used as often as the driver side window. Tip - once a week, make sure you lower and raise the passenger side window just to keep it exercised

Glad it worked for you. Mine has quit several times and this remedy has always worked. I've even divised a quicker way! Do not remove the door panel. Remove the plastic trim around the door release and push away the black goo patch underneath to open up a small hole. Place a screwdriver downward against motor and rap lightly with a hammer while pressing down button. Be careful, the motor connectiing wiring is real close and you don't want to bang on it. Check it out w/ a light first and you will see what i'm talking about. I fixed mine 3days ago in about 7-8 minutes. Good luck.
I haven't posted any replies as I have not had the time to take the door apart, but this sounds like it may save me some time. I'll try it this weekend.

Man you are Da man! You got more hot tips than a B-B-Q cookoff! Mine has worked just fine since I free'd up the motor., But I like your idea of going thru the door latch shroud. Crossing my finger it keeps on working.
I wonder if all the widow lockups have been in the full up position???? That would substantiate my gear over-travel/low motor torque theory.
Re: HOT TIP! Window fix for motor/Reg. (vettemike182)
All of my failures have been in the up position also. I've seen lots of comments on this here on the forum and i don't recall one being in the down position. I think you may be on to something w/ your over travel/ low torque theory.
