Default sagging front facia

2001 Vert with 14000 miles. On the passenger side front bumper just below the headlight cover, I'm getting quite a sag. Area is about 6" in diameter and is about 1/4" deep measured by a straight edge. There's been no impact damage and nobody sitting on the front end. Has just appeared since weather has warmed. Any clues????????? Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

Took the car to my local dealer for the sagging problem. Says there's no GM service bulletins on this problem. Still looking for clues..........Thanks! :chevy

The only thing that holds it up are the frame (front center), a foam support (center but out towards the edges), then the fenders on the back ends. It is possible the foam support is cracked and drooping on one side, or the entire fender on that side is drooping, along with the inner fender on that side.

If it is really bothering you, you (or a hired hand) will have to remove the cover and take a look. It is an easy job, but don't do it unless you are comfortable with such an undertaking.

Thanks for your reply David. Dealer to bring in zone rep....about a month from now. Other than a collision, how would the foam support get cracked? The car is not lowered, is not raced and other than the usual air damn scrapes has not been bottomed.
