Oil pressure

What is the normal pressure for our cars while at idle. usually mine is 35 then when I put it into gear it drops to sometimes 25. While driving it stays in the 35-40 range. Is this normal. :confused:

Slightly low, but still safe. See if it changes during your next oil filter change, as that sometimes effects pressure.

Specifications from 2003 Service Manual (p6-13)
Oil Pressure - Minimum - Hot
6 psig at 1000 engine rpm
18 psig at 2000 engine rpm
24 psig at 4000 engine rpm

Mine is around 40 psig at 2000 rpm. Seems like your car is well within sepcification.

My car while hot, and in idle, get down to 29psi @ the lowest. While cold, i've seen it get to 60Psi
