A4 Drivers - do you ever see your HUD's "Shift" light?
That's my question. For the first time for the 5200 miles or so on the car, I was kinda into it and I'm not sure exactly what the RPM's were, but I did see the "SHIFT" illuminate right under the end of the tach on the HUD. Ever happen to you? And it's not a problem, right?

Where is the mysterious light? Is it at the low end or the high end of the tach. Now, I'll have to look, and I use the HUD for my speed, but never knew of a shift light.

On the HUD, with the tach displayed, it'd be right underneath the high end of the tach; says "SHIFT".

I bought a raptor shift light and installed it and everyone was talking about a shift light being in the hud. In a year of driving and banging off the rev limiter several times had not noticed the hud shift light. As soon as I "looked" for it sure enough, its there. But its nothing compared to a real shift light. I have not hit the rev limiter once since installing mine. Factory shift light is set for 5700 rpm on a normal c5
