Gas Gauge?
Twice now I've had my fuel gauge go from 1/4 tank to EMPTY and no inbetween.When I fill back up it only took 15.5 gallons.The owners manual says fuel capacitie is 18.5 gallons.Whats up with this gauge? :smash:

A few months ago a GM engineer in Bowling Green said this had become a common problem due to the higher sulphur content in today's gasolines reacting with the silver plated sending unit in the tank. He suggested adding a bottle of Chevron's Techron to a few tankfuls of gas. Several members of our group had this problem and after using the Techron, have not had it reoccur. :)

me too. i was on the highway when my car warns me LOW FUEL without ever telling me RESERVE FUEL. i looked at the gauge to see it burried on empty. scared me good until i realized i had just fueled up a few hours earlier. has done it twice since and is currently at the dealer getting a new sending unit.
