I heard the new issue of GMHTP has a bone stock 50th anniversary C5 that they got down to a 12.7 at almost 111mph! I believe it. I've known of a few bone stock LS1 f-bodies that have gone 12.8s and 12.9s, so the lighter C5 should have no problem beating that. It takes a perfect driver, perfect weather and a perfect sea level dragstrip, but it can be done. Heck, people still don't believe that my bone stock LT1 Firebird ran a 13.74 quarter mile, but it did.
