Stock 1/4 times
I know this is an elementary question that's probably been asked a gazillion times before, but I'm new to the Vette world and not a huge performance guy. My buddy was wondering what a stock C5 will run on a 1/4 mile?
Again, forgive me for the silly question. We're just curious.

Re: Stock 1/4 times (Mixxit)
I've seen stock C5 1/4-mile times between 13.0 - 13.4 depending on the tranny and rear gear.

Re: Stock 1/4 times (Mixxit)
Depends on whether the car is an auto or manual, 2.73 or 3.15....among other things...weather, driver, etc.
My 2000 A-4 Coupe with 2.73's went 13.60 @104 in the heat of the day. That was the best of about 6 passes.

Re: Stock 1/4 times (Korreck)
I went 13.60 @ 108mph with exhaust at Carlsbad my first weekend with the car. That soon improved to 13.20 - 13.40 pending launch on run flats.

Most of the stone stock C5's I have seen are 13.2 to 13.6. With A few Mods such as Exhaust and air intake changes they are in the 12's.
Not bad considering they still get around 27 Miles per Gallen of gas. :chevy :flag :chevy :flag :chevy :lurk: :auto: :steering: :chevy :flag

13.4-13.6 is normally what I have seen stock C5s do, most of the .2 variant is temp and driver.

Re: Stock 1/4 times (Busa196)
Not to argue, but I have the issue of GMHTP with the review of the 99 FRC. Evan Smith drove it to 12.67 or something. Bone Stock.
This is the same guy who got a bone stock 99 z28 to go 12.89. He is one of the best drivers in the world though.

Re: Stock 1/4 times (elric)
Best time so far 13.16 @ 108 on run flats in the heat of the day (2.06 short time). I am confident that in cool weather it will go 12.90's on the run flats and 12.70's on drag radials

13.01@106.5mph 2.0 60' (cold evening)
This was with a Blackwing filter. Everything else was bone stock in an auto with 2.73 gears and Runflats.
