Maintenence Schedule...........
My 1998 has 63,000 miles and I was wondering when I should change the transmission/rear end fluids. Also, what should I use and what weight? Thanks.

Re: Maintenence Schedule........... (1998NassauBlue)
It would not hurt to do it now.
You can use ATF from Amsoil, mobil 1 or redline in the 6 speed tranny. I have tried the amsoil and for me the Mobil 1 shifts the same after a change.
For the rear diff 75w90 from amsoil, mobil 1 or redline is fine. You will need the gm additive for the mobil 1, amsoil and redline you do not.
See my how to here:

I would just follow the maintenance schedule in your owners manual.

You're a little over due. Probably should replace now. I use this schedule.
30K
-Change oil and filter (AMSOIL)
-Change ATF and filter (AMSOIL)
-Change differential fluid 75W90 (AMSOIL)
-Flush radiator
-Replace PCV
-Replace or clean air filter
-Replace fuel filter (maybe)
60K
-All of the above
-Replace spark plugs
-Replace hoses and belt
