I need a new set of tires for my FRC. First question is... how big of a tire can I fit on these stock Y2K wheels? I was thinking maybe 285/40/18 rear and 245/45/17 front, but don't know if I can go any bigger.
Also would like recomendations on WHAT tire to get. I would like to run a nondirectional tire because I like to run alot of camber on the street ( -2 degrees front, -.75 rear). I was looking at the Pirelli PZero Assm. ... but they are somewhat expensive. How do they wear? Another tire I thought about running was the Dunlop 9000s... they are relativley cheap, but are directional. How do they stick?
you can go higher on the back if you got rims in the 9 1/2 to 10 1/2 wide range up to ej.. P265/40/17 for 9 1/2 rims, back and P295/35/18 for 10 1/2 rims or you can go 275 on 9 1/2 wont recomend go any higher than that for that wide cause of the tire walls may sink in and tire will be damage. check tirerack.com for tires sizes and rims sizes it help and will explained what you can use. good luck :flag
