Guys I installed a Varram on my 2002 coupe today. Did anyone have trouble getting the fog light ducts to line up. After installing the ducts supplied with the kit, my fog lights do not line up with the holes in the black duct housing. The ductwork appears to be about 1/2 inch low. I tried various combinations of spacers and ended up with 0 on the outside, 1 on the inner upper and 2 on the inner lower. It looks like the entire "V" air ducts need to raise up a couple inches in the rear resulting in a slight rise in the front around the fog lights. However this forces the MAF, air bridge and coupler to not rest on the radiator shroud any longer. The rest of the system is all stock parts. Is there a way to fix this problem or should I just leave it. If I leave it when the fog lights get hot will they melt the plastic.
Thanks for the help.
Call Patrick @ Vararam. I called him on a friday night after getting stumped on my install, after a few he had me back on track. I believe that his telephone number is on the instructions.
Re: Vararam Installation Problem ? (extremecorvette)
My hardtop didn't come with fog lights, but my air bridge also does not rest flat on the shroud. It won't snap back into the rubber nubs. I just left it, and have no problems. That would bother me if it was not aligning with my fog lights. Hopefully they will get you straight. I just bought a used airbridge & coupler, so I may try to adjust it better when I install the airbridge. SCOTT
I talked to one of the guys at Varram. He said that with the proper shims the lights, should line up. I am going to tear it apart and try shimming it differently. Also he said that Vararam is coming out with a new coupler deisgn to work with their intake and it has shown impressive numbers. So anyone in the market for a coupler and airbridge, might want to wait about a month.
Thanks for the help guys.
