I have a vortech supercharged car from carrollsupercharging.
Ron zimmer does the programming on his kits. If I do anymore mods
can my car be adjusted through the Ls1 edit. I'm wondering because
Ron zimmer and Ed wright use Gm software how does that differ from
software from the Ls1 Edit. I know a guy that does the ls1 edit, tunes
the car while you drive. Is that better then sending you computer out
and saying this is what I have program my car. Just wondering for future
mods like longtube headers, more boost and water injection!
Any info would be great! :smash:
If you buy LS1 edit, you can do it all yourself, saving $$$$$ in the long run. If you are going to pay someone anyway, just keep paying those guys. However, I would suggest getting onto a dyno with a wide-band O2 sensor, monitor your detonation, and see how good the programming is now. Changing headers etc will make very small changes in tuning requirements, even if the power gains are pretty large.
No dig here, But my tuning from Ed Wright FLAT OUT SUCKED! Car was idling like Crap and was throwing codes left and right. I am not convinced you get anything more from him than you would from a local guy who knows what they are doing with LS1 Edit.
Is that he has the ability to lock Ltrims which makes it extremely easy to tune the car. Hence the reason he can do it mail order....
Or atleast that is what I am told!
Not sure what your heard about Ltrims being locked. But Ltrims must flucuate during non-WOT mode to adjust to varying conditions. During WOT ltrims and strims are locked out, and O2's are no longer used for air/fuel feedback.

Just my 2 cents...
WOW  That sucks. I have not heard much bad about him in a few years.

I think he's talking about in PE mode, he locks the LTRIM's at 0 to create consistent fueling. On stock cars if the LTRIM's are positive at PT, when you hit PE they will remain positive.
