can i just buya 3.90 ring and pinion for my carrier instead of buying a whole other unit? or will it crack the housing. or break, etc...pro's and cons of doing it this way. i dont car about down time for the car because i wont be ripping it apart till winter :D buy the way i have the 6sp with the 3.42 carrier

Do yourself a favor and forget the 3.90s and step up to the 4.10s which are the ultimate gear for C5s, especially stick cars. With the extra low gearing in my new Z06 i can't recommend anything short of the 4.10s. Look up Crashed94 on the forum here and he will hook you up for an awesome deal like he did for me! :cheers: :steering:
