check engine light is on?
Pulled a brain fart on way to the DQ with the kids. Had a4 in low and bumped the rev limiter and car kind of puked a little. The car seems to run o.k. but light does not go off. Is there a way to reset? or do I go to the dealer. Its got 5000 miles on it so I can change oil as well if I have to go. Help!

Pull codes and clear them. I'm sure you didn't hurt anything.
Just clear the codes on the dic and you should be fine. If your not sure how to clear codes, post that and someone will assist you.

The check engine light comes on when you have an emmisions-related fault (diagnostic code trip). To find the code, follow this tech tip. https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1
Make note of it, then you can reset it. When you reset it, the check engine light will go out. Report back here with the code number if you are unsure of what it means.
If it was a one-time fault and doesn't happen again, you're probably fine, no need to see dealer. If it occurs again, get it looked at.
