That's not worth a crap. Every time it goes off you have to look away from the road and focus on the right hand side of the the mirror. Also. anyone behind you can see the display, especially at night.

 the same goes for mounting the detector anywhere on the windshield except low and just to the right of the steering wheel. I've seen the concealed display on the steering column, even then you have to look away from the road. I think the main advantage of this mirror setup is if you DO get pulled over you wont have to fumble around hiding the detector...

Where do the sensors go? Are they still a seperate item mounted in the window?

The hardest part of this mod is taking the mirror apart. Also helps if you can solder. You would need to install and connect the mute button as well.

I did the install in my mirror. Since I did not remove the reflective material (it looks like an unmodded mirror when the V1 is off), the V1 was difficult to view during the day in direct sun. Worked great at night. Would probably work good with the non transparent roof. ( I like my tranparent roof, so I will make changes to get it to work)

If you do the install, you can put the V1 remote display at either side of the mirror.

Doing what the other pics show, removing the correct amount of reflective material can be difficult, you can use muratic acid to remove the reflective coating but if you use too much, take out too material, u screw up the whole mirror.

I am currently trying to put the V1 in an auto dimming mirror. I have some things that i will try to make the display more visable during the day. Will post it when done. ( I was going to spray the white plastic around the LED's with a reflective coating)

I am fairly busy with work so can not spend a whole lot of time on it right now.
