Re: When does LS1Edit/Dyno Tuning Needed? (BQuicksilver)
After reading these replies it looks like I may need to get mine tuned. I have had corsa Tigershark exhaust and X pipe and as soon as my blackwing arrives I'll install it. I live in the Pontiac, Mich. area. Does anyone know the best place to get a tune done around here. :seeya

You're correct about what I was asking. I think they were addressing that as we had asked. That's pretty exciting to think that you'll get almost 50 peak hp after headers and a tune!
My car is in the shop right now getting Stainless Works LT's, Random Technology "metal matrix" cats, and 3" x-pipe installed. I'll get it on a dyno next week to see if the A/F tables need adjusted and get some HP numbers...
50 HP (even at the flywheel) is highly unlikely... :skep:

Well, guys are getting 25peak hp and 40 in the lower range with many systems rignt now. And from asking here, it looks like you can free up 20 more with a tune after LS1Edit. I'd say that (though I'd be skeptical as well) 50 is pretty hard to argue with. :yesnod:

Don't forget to purchase a good scan tool as well. The problem with dyno #'s after making some modifications is that we tend to report and focus on peak numbers. LS1 Edit can help you improve the total area under the curve, as well as overall driveability.
