Anyone try these tires on their C5 or Z06? If so, what was your experience?
I am running stock F1 Supercars and looking for a stickier tire but want more wearability than Hoosier's. Will use the tire for club events and high speed time trials. Daily driving and wet weather traction is not a concern, I'll drive something else.
Stock F1 sizes currently, 295-35-18's in rear, 265-45-17. Want to run about the same size using existing 18-10.5 rear and 17-9.5 front rims. I believe the KD's are available in the same sizes, however the front is a 275-slightly taller and wider but apparently within the acceptable variance ratio/range to not be problematic with the traction control.
Incredible sticky dry weather tire. Have them in 295's and I wouldn't trade them for any brand of 315. Check out DJSELF also running an LPE TT (650hp+) and he uses them on the Track. Also, MATTG, who has a 436 ci Stroker and who road races constantly has gone through 3 sets. Once you get them, you'll never try anything else. Just be careful in the rain.

I am running 295-35/18's and 275-40/17's... you'll have no problems with these on the stock Z06 sized wheels. These are an amazing tire. Done two track dates and use them on the street... they are holding up very well.
Probably the best dry traction out there.
Don't want to hijack the thread, but I was thinking about these tires too: I was planning on putting these on my stock rims (non-Z06). Would you recommend the stock size or go larger and if so, how much bigger? I know firestones are pretty narrow, but don't know much about the BFs.
Also, are these G-force KDW? I looked on tire rack and these are all that were available.
From all I've heard, these are great for drag racing, but what about every day use...or how about the twisties? I've got Pilot sports and they stick in the turns pretty well, but they suck for 60'. I

I have 18 x 11 HRE's and the 295's are perfect. But before I got the HRE's, I had reuglar stock with the same KD's and they hung over the lip just a tad but no big deal. If you get chance, go with 18 x 11 as the tire will look better and you'll have options of getting the BFG 315 DR. Unfortuntely, BFG (Michellin) has no plans of making the KD's in size 315.

Never ever confuse the KD's with the KDW's.

There use to be a Discount Tire rep on the CF - I think his name was Todd???
He gave me a real good deal on 18/265 KD's for my front. Noone else could match the price. Every now DT also has incredible discounts on these for some reason. Next time I see a pair of rears I'll grab 'em.

Don't get these confused with KDWs! The tire you want that is the subject of this thread are the BFG KDs (Not the kdws)!
These tires i have always heard rock for dry weather (only) traction and these are what i will switch to when my stock z06 supercar tires are toast! :smash:
OK couple of questions here, on my GTP I run the KDWS all season tires and amd able to get 2.0 60's which is down right amazing for a street tire on a 350HP FWD car. My best on DRs was a high 1.9 and that was even matched with a set of RE-730s. So I know that the Ge-Force line of tires do perform well. What I am wondering is how well the KD and or KDW tires perform on the 60's and if anyone has any experience with the Bridgestone S-03s or even the S-02s at the drag strip. My goal as it has been with every car is to be as fast as I can on my every day street tires, but to make sure that I get the absolute stickiest street tire that I can short of getting drag radials.

Got it. Thanks for the input, I won't mix them up. You shouldn't have too many problems burning up those supercar tires. :D
