Default Cam question

What are the characteristics of a reverse split cam and what if any types of heads do they work best with?

A reverse split cam has more duration on the intake lobe of the cam (230/224 for example). A traditional split cam has more duration on the exhaust lobe (224/230 for example). If you have ported heads it would be a good idea to ask the tuner that ported them if a reverse split cam would work well with those heads. You can find out a lot more about reverse split cams over on the LS1Tech forum. They had become sort of popular with some of the F.Body guys.
