Re: Just bought a Passport G-Timer GT2 (SilverC5inOhio)
I went with the older G Tech Pro after looking around. They're smaller, match my V1, and cost $60 on EBay versus $200+. Besides, they already did most everything these units do.
Re: Just bought a Passport G-Timer GT2 (BQuicksilver)
Just a head's up, took the Z06 out last night and was toying with my GT2 again. It really does help, seeing as my best previous time 0-60 was a 4.77, and last night I was consitently running 4.3's.

What I did different tonight (for the records it was about 63 degrees, tires [all 4] were at 30 PSI, I was driving on the expressway [concrete] and was driving in Competitive Mode) was I revved the engine up to about 2800-3000 and slipped the clutch a little faster at first to break the tires loose just a little, then slipped the clutch a chunk more which didn’t “bog” the car but it did stop the tires from breaking loose. At this instant I just floored it. I believe that is how I achieved my better 60” times (though they began to go up at the end of my runs, oh well). Before tonight I was averaging 2.24 60” times. Another thing; I was practicing just SLAMMING from first to second gear. If I had written out all the times (0-whatever) from my previous runs, you would notice I literally shaved off a quarter+ second by practicing my shifting. Before my 0-40 and 0-50 times would take about 1.25-1.4ish seconds to complete. Tonight I was dipping between .95 and 1.05 for the 1st – 2nd shift.
Re: Just bought a Passport G-Timer GT2 (Radiant Heat)
I made 13 runs at the tack last Friday night and I must say that the G-Timer GT2 is right on. The only setting I adjusted while at the track was the pitch. I set it at 1.8. The CDA was set per the manual at 6.2. The bigggest variance from the track numbers and the G-Timer results was about .05x seconds and < 1MPH on the ET.
Just bought the Beltronics Vector FX2 it is the same as the Passport GT2 the case is the only difference. Circuit City in my area has it on sale for $199.99. Has anyone figured what the rolling resistance for the C5 is?
