I recently have noticed a burning smell when I get out of my C5 after a drive. Smells like rubber burning, or something similar.
A friend with a '99 had a similar problem with the brake pedal not returning completely and causing the calipers to just slightly engage the rotors constantly. I believe a new spring on the brake pedal arm fixed it.
I am scheduled into the dealer tomorrow but would appreciate any experience or ideas you might have to offer in advance.
Many thanks!
Take a look at your brakes after you drive. Are they smoking? Are they extremely hot? (surrounding wheel area should be hot if they are dragging). Are the rotors blue?
