I had my car on a lift the other day changing the oil and noticed that the rubber/metal bushings under the bolt you turn to lower the front of the car were smashed really bad on r/h side and almot completely missing on l/h side. I also noticed that the l/f sits about 1/2"-3/4" higher than the r/h side once on the ground and the shocks have settled. How do I replace these or fix the situation? Thanks.
Not saying you don't have a problem, but the bushings will appear very "squished" and thin unless you take all of the spring pressure off them. Just having the car jacked up isn't enough to tell, there is still considerable pressure on those bushings.
The bushings are permanently attached to the adjusting bolts, and as far as I know, the adjusting bolts are not available individually. They come on a new spring and I think that's the only way to get them....to buy a new spring.
If you haven't lowered your car, you can "fix" this by simply adjusting the left side bolt up a little (turning it up into the spring lowers the car). It seems odd that there's "almost no bushing left" on the left side, yet it sits higher....it should (in theory) sit lower if the bolts are set the same.
you're right...the right side bushing is almost squished out ..not the left. so, i can fix this by turning the bolts until the hieght is the same? i have heard of people removing the bolts, is that not good or what. i know it would lower the front, but how much? thanks alot.

Depends on where you're at now. If you haven't lowered your car, removing the front bolts will drop you about 2". For most people, this is too low, and makes the car very difficult to live with driving in the real world.
If you only want to fine tune and not slam the car, then by all means use the adjusting bolts to adjust. If you have the bolts turned all the way up already, and you don't want to raise the other side to make it even, your only real solution would be to trim some off the opposite side bushing.
Hey 1998NassauBlue, let me know if you need new bolts. I just got rid of my front spring that had a crack in it and replaced it with a new one. I read this thread so I pulled the bushings of it before I set it for the trash. The bushings are uncut. All you would have to do is back the old bushings all the way out and screw these in. Let me know and I will send them out to you-no charge. :)
I have my front olts ompletely out and the car sits pretty low. I love the look but it scrapes sometimes if I am not careful. If you are gonna do thatyu should lower the back too or I would think it will look kinda odd. kaley

It is the least I can do! I am a mechanictard and have been lurking the forum for mod tips, as well as buying used parts from the parts for sale section. This past weekend I finally completed my 99 Vert mods, which include a Z06 suspension swap, Goodrige brake lines, Hawk brake pads, Baer enhanced drilled/slotted rottors, lowered, painted the calipers (Folitech) and HRE 542's (18" all the way around w/Pilot Michellin Sports. Although I procrastinated for a year and a half, I finally got it completed. I am soon to have installed 342's, a Yank torque conveter and a Transgo shift kit. I would not have been able to accomplish this without the generosity of the members of this forum. I am very greatful for this forum and its contributing members, whom I would never be able to thank individually. I will be updating my mods and adding a signature photo in the near future. :flag :flag :flag
