Default searching for power

done a few mods: blackwing, long tube headers, random cats, x-pipe, GHL's, and a good tuning, don't have the exact # from the dyno sheet but it is a little over 300 at the wheels. i know that real horse power will only come with a head and cam combo, i would like to be around 420-450 at the wheels. on a naturally asperating 98' ls1 is this possible or are there other engine guts that i need for this to be a reality. my next question is will the stock m6 tranny/clutch hold it. thanks in advance. :flag

What is 'a little over 300' at the wheels?? Just curious...

I would think that all the stuff you have done already should be good for 15-25RWHP increase -- but that's just shooting from the hip...

Mine's 314 rwhp right now with the mods in my sig.

To get up in the 420hp range..... you'll need some LS6 parts & definitely a cams / heads package.

Although, it might be cheaper in the long run just to bolt on a Supercharger which will add about 70rwhp. :D

Mine got 450 rwhp with an ATI on a stock engine just after it was installed  I've had the PCM reprogrammed since then and haven't had it back to a dyno. I'm waiting to dyno it until after LT header, x-pipe and cat-back install the third week of August. So far I've had no problems with the stock M6 tranny/clutch
