When I took apart my engine for H/C, I noticed the 3rd rocker from the back on the passenger side to be crooked. The tip was slightly off center to the left on the valve. I wasn't worried at the time, because I was going to replace them with the Yella Terra's. I ran into some issues, so I am using the stockers for now until I can get those issues resolved.
After putting the stock rockers back in, the same problem is evident. It does not matter which rocker I put there, they all end up off center.
The tip of the rocker shows uneven wear, i guess due to the misalignment. I am planning on getting a new rocker and mounting rail to fix it. Has anyone else had this problem? I think it was causing a slight ticking noise I thought was due to the headers.
It is twisted clockwise just enough so you can see a very small portion of the valve whereas all the others are centered. Due to this, the wear on the rocker tip is uneven so I figure I will replace the rocker rail and the rocker to avoid damaging anything else. I have a picture I can send you, but I will have to get the film developed since its not digital.
