Default Built-in line lock?

Since there is such a problem with Line Locks and the Active Handling suspension, would it possible to have the computer apply the front brakes only when requested? For example, lets say that when the DIC is displaying the front tire pressures, with the reset button pushed in and held for more than 3 seconds, and the both front wheel speed sensors show zero speed; then the front brakes only would be applied. Also maybe activate the feature only when in Competive Driving mode, ensuring that the rear wheels will spin. Releasing the reset button would then release the front brakes and put everything back to normal.
Can the computer be programmed to accomplish such a function??
And can anybody but GM figure out how??

I understand what your trying to accomplish but I think you would be compromising the brakes function..You DON'T want to do that..now do you?

I have the Hurst Roll Control and it works great..It's relatively inexpensive about $120 complete and installation is a 3 hour job...Not bad at all :D

On my 2000 with active handling, the line lock works great ...no issues at all.
I have the Hurst roll control installed.

Okay guys,
Not to sound ignorant, but...
Where did you mount the line lock? Right after the master cylinder and before the ABS?
Got any pictures?

Thanks
Mark

Can someone, in MORE Detail, explain the line lock, where it is mounted in the cabin (If there even is a button in the cabin?) How it works, do you press a button and it locks the front tires? Where is it installed, it looks liek under the hood, but where do the lines go in terms of attaching to the brakes.

To Summarize, just more detailed info. I went to the drags and the power brake thing wasn't working at all, unless I was right in the waterbox. Those DR's are sticky.

Thanks

The Bandit................. :D :D

I have the Line-Lock switch where my ashtray was (lighter is still functional). I have a custom made polished stainless steel plate with the switch on the plate (dad made it :D ).

You pump the brakes a bit, hold the brake pedal down and hit the switch. It locks the front brakes and leaves the rears open so you can do the burnout. The components for the kit are inside the engine compartment with wires going to the inside of the car which are hidden. ARE did my install.

I have a 99 with active handling. My installation is exactly like Brian's. Works flawless.
