If anyone is wanting to do the PCV Mod and you don't want to use the compressed air filter unit with the element removed here is another solution:
Make yourself a catchcan from a 4" PVC "T" with a cap on the top and a removable drain plug on the bottom. The plastic hose nipple threads are sealed with RTV. I went to Lowes and got everything I needed. I also installed a 4" square Briggs & Stratton Foam Pre-filter (rolled up) inside the can to help filter the air and soak up airborn oil mist. All I have to do is wash it out once a month or so. I also painted it satin black so it doesn't stand out under the hood.
Here is a pic:
Pros
There is more room for oil than the compressed air filter unit.
There is NO restriction in the PCV system with this catchcan.
You can unscrew the plug on the bottom and clean it out.
You can replace the pre-filter for about $2 when it gets saturated.
