Tech 2 ????

What are the advantages of using a Tech 2 over Autotap, Ease or EFILive????

There are many advantages over using the other items you mentioned. Look below for the positives:

Positives:

1: Doesn't require a laptop or computer to run.
2: Doesn't have to go through a "boot" mode to load an O/S like a computer does.
3: Doesn't "lock up" like a computer does!!
4: You can turn on and off different paramaters and even flash the PCM with GM calibrations.
5:Very intuitive and easy to use.

Dissadvantages:

1: COST!!!! A new Tech2 is over 2K!!!

I'm sure others will chime in but the above is what I can think about off the top...

It is an excellent diagnostic tool that together with the service manual allows you to diagnose virtually every system in the car, not just the engine.

In addition, it will work on other GM cars as well from about 1993.
