You may have read a recent post of mine regarding the inability of my Vert to pass state inspection :mad
After many, many false starts to correct the issues encountered in the failure to pass the OBD II test (all were related to 'not ready' status), I left my Vert with Lou.
In one day he remedied this issue :) :hurray:
My Vert has all the 'goodies' from LGM: heads, cam (V1), headers no CATS, LS6 intake, etc., making over 410+ RWHP.
One of the mandates I placed on LGM before making the move to this configuration was the car must be able to pass inspection!
Lou found an issue in my LS1 edit that was causing the PCM to not allow a 'ready' status. Within hours of leaving my Vert with him he had 'fixed' the problem, and taken it all the way across town to one of the inspection stations that had failed me previously, where it passed with flying colors :hurray:
To say I am pleased with the results is an understatement. LGM (Lou) is the MAN  :hurray:
That's great news Dennis! I've scheduled my header and cam install and that is one thing that I am a little nervous about (state inspection). I suppose I should ask John if he will ensure that I pass emissions as well. If you can pass, I should be able to no problem, but I'm still concerned.
Nothing I like hearing more than a fellow forum member got his problem resolved by one of our excellent sponsors.
One question, Dennis. How did those diagnostics get turned off? Did someone else tune your car after the install?
Patches:
Do not really know how this (diagnostics turned off) occurred. All I know is that with the "edit", the car is able to pass inspection :hurray:
I was really frustrated when I left it with Lou on Monday (as I was leaving the country for the week, returning late this week, then leaving again on the 14th, probably for the remainder of the month).
Lou asked me to not have a heart attack (as I said I was really upset) and that he would get the issue remedied for me.
Lou is a great guy. I had a rattle in my exhuast this weekend at TWS and Lou had it taken care of in no time, it was like having my own pit crew!
I have an appointment with Lou tomorrow to get the G5X-2 cam installed. Yeah, I know. I was just at MTI last week and got their X1 cam. Should have gone BIGGER....
Radical (as the kids say). That cam is a reall 'killer'; Lou wanted to place it in my car, but I was really afraid (at my age) I could not handle it :lolg:
I have had an opportunity to drive a LGM V2 (G5X-2) car, with the same mods that I have other than this cam, and the difference in performance is very noticable.
If I were not such a wiss, I would have gone for it (and still may do so, as long as Lou would do the work 'sans' labor! Lou, are you paying attention?)
Anyway, congrats on your mods. I am confident that you'll like the work LGM provides to you.
Is your car finished at LGM? If so, how did it turn out with the new cam? If not finished, maybe I will be able to see you there tomorrow afternoon as I will be there for them to intall a vararam to the G5x2 package on the vette and a set of their custom headers on the Hummer H2. :-)

Scott,
No. I dropped off my car yesterday. Plan on returning Tuesday. Hopefully I'll get dyno #'s close to yours.
Lou showed me his new headers along with the random technology cats. Looks sweet. You towing your 'vette back to MN with the H2? You should keep here in Texas as in a couple months you won't be able to drive it up what with all the snow!
