MY C5 HAS A GHOST
i started the car and the pass side seat started to move all the way up by itself amd stop.my car is a 1997 no codes and has memory seat option.

Do you have a seat cover? If so check to see if it is pushing on the switch.

Who sat is the seat last and did they change its postion, if so the memory was returning it to its proper place. Either that or you need a Rev. to chase the spirit out of the car. I do mine once a month to keep it spirit free. Remember those spirits of past over drag racers want a fast car to haunt.

On my '03 the memory function doesn't do anything to the passenger seat.

Mitch, my drivers seat was also doing the same thing. Thank god I'm a little guy. The seat pushes aganist the sterring wheel. I agree with the switch theory. Occassionally mine will not retract the seat rearward after moving forward. I disconnected the battery for a short time it seemed to fix the memory issue. I'll have the switch changed out during the fall. It's nuisance issue. :seeya
