About a month ago I posted that I was losing a little coolant, showing a few drips on the garage floor every morning. It certainly sounded like the water pump, so we ordered one to have ready when the shop took things apart.
Surprise! It turned out that the BeCool radiator was leaking where one of the cross-tubes was welded into the side tank. The annoying thing is, my first BeCool in this car lasted 11 months before developing a similar leak. BeCool supplied a new radiator under their warranty for that one but wouldn't pay for the swap. Now this second one has gone south after about 16 months. BeCool asked me to send this second radiator back for some possible reimbursement, I'll try to post the results.
The tech who works on my car is a meticuleous craftsman, but I'm getting tired of him taking things apart while I pay for it- the stock radiator is now in place.....
I've had mine for about a year with no problems. I hope they work something out with you. Although pulling that biatch out is a PITA (especially doing it by yourself).
Sorry to hear about this... my BeCool has been in the car for 2 years now without any problems. It even survived the accident and has a little dent of its own on the bottom! Takes a licking and keeps on ticking!! :smash:
