Has anyone used the lowering kit from Mid America? Here is the link. http://www.madvet.com/shop?store=1&c...y=148&frame=79 If you have used it, is it easy to install and does it lower the whole car and not just the front or back? If you have any other suggestions, I would like to hear them. Thanks in advance.
I just ordered one of the Forum. It is a GP. Looks the same. I think what you have is for the rear, considering I only see two bolts. Same as what I ordered. Front is low enough for me.
Save your money. By using just the stock bolts alone you can drop the entire car 1.25 to 1.5 inches, my front air dam is only 2 inches off the ground.
later,
:iagree: This is what I did, and my car is loooowwww. 26" in the front and 26.5 " in the rear...from the ground to the center of the fender well. Best looking mod I've done yet, IMO.
This subject interested me too. I also would like to learn about how to do this. Can anyone point us in the right direction for instructions?
There's instructions for doing this under Tools>>Tech Tips>>C5
I finally did it this w/e and it was very easy. With air tools and all the hand tools ready, it took a little over an hour, front and back.
One thing to note that wasn't in the tech tip: Maybe this only applies to F45 cars, but I found it easier to turn the front bolts if I first unbolted the lower end of the front shocks.
And one thing to note about the results: I went as low as I could all the way around. Although the ride is still bearable, it is somewhat reminiscent of my Neuspeed-fitted Corrado - translated: bumpy. It's not too bad, but I am going to leave this way for a couple weeks. Then I might consider raising it back up just a tad if I can't get used to it.
