Ill be there bright and early lets hope the track conditions are better then the last shootout... Good luck to all...
:iagree:
I sure hope so, It was really frustrating at the last CC. Spin Spin Spin...makes it hard to dial in :mad :mad :reddevil. But the main concern is for the "Quick 4" cars. This could be downright dangerous for them . You guys be careful out there.
Maybe we could schedule some evnts at Atco where traction is almost always good, or have the E-town crew get some lessons from the Atco boys :blueangel: Regardles, I will be there.
"The car must be legal for the Corvette Challenge and registered for the Points championship. Non Points cars will not be allowed to race in the Quick 4. If you are not signed up for Points, go up to the tower and sign up the next time you are at the track.
Let's say your coming from Chicago, (Great Lakes Corvette Challenge) would "someone" be able to participate in the Quick 4 or can "someone" sign up for the points championship when they get out there to participate?
Also for C5's that run 9's/10's - What safety equipment is needed in a c5 that runs 9/10's? 5 point or 6 point cage? ect... a simple list would be great, from some of the people already participating :D
What kind of turn-out do you get for a Q4 event how many cars usually start off?
Someday I might want to comedown and give this a try, so im getting started trying to figure out some information ahead of time, thanks in advance.
Mike you can sign up for points on the day you show up. It will cost you $30 to sign up for points. The intent of the Quick 4 was to give the bracket racers a try at heads up racing and a place to showcase their cars.
It has grown to the point where a lot of Quick hopefuls only come on Quck 4 days. (we have 4 this year)
At our first Q4 day we had 101 Corvettes. Of course if you don't qualify for Q4 you still race brackets (even if you do qualify you still race brackets).
As for safety equipment, standard NHRA rules apply. a 5 point bar, 5 point harness, fire jacket and helmet are good up to 10.00.
In the nines you have to have a full cage ( I think it is 10 or 12 point) that is certified by the NHRA (we have the only ones certified that we are aware of) and the driver has to be licenesed by NHRA. There are other requirements I think but.
To run either time you will have to have mufflers and be under 95 DB to run.
Hey thanks for the information, someday I would like to make a weekend vacation out there and join you guys for a little fun and excitment, we will see how things go in september
