Hypertech III problem
I purchased a Hypertech III for my 97 C5 and when I attempt to program the car the programmer does not ask the necessary questions. The programmer goes through the basic steps of verifying the vehicle ect. but when it finishes these steps it asks if I want to begin programming. Has anyone had this problem and if so does anyone know what causes it?

You have to answer yes to that question. Then it will begin swapping the HPT program with the stock program which can take quite a long time. Make sure the battery is fully charged and in good condition. When you go to remove the programming you will get failure messages and the car will not run since HPT did something to affect the antitheft system. It took me a year before I could figure out how to go back to stock. HPT was no help. Basically, you have to program back to stock and then when a certain message comes up you remove the battery ground cable for a couple of minutes and this resets the antitheft system.
