Hey guys I am thinking even though the C5 only has 12k on the clock, since its a 99 and I have headers I should replace the wires??? And thinking of the Bosch premiums....is there any set you particularly like for the $??? I am considering the Magnecor also...any advice/suggestions???
And difference in performance noticed with any suggestions?
I just got Kool Sox for them.
I just purchased taylor wires from thunder racing with the fire sleeves, don't know how they work yet but were recommended to me by several forum members.
Just installed MSD wires and NGK-55 plugs on my '99 coupe. There was a noticeable difference from the stock wires and plugs. The car's idle is smooth and it feels like it has more jump to it. :)
Ditto MSD 8.5mm wires with NGK 55 Plug.Recommended by my engine builder with my head/cam pkg. No need for sleeves on the wires with headers as lengths are perfect. Had a previous set of West Coast wires that burned through even with boots giving the dreaded check engine until found the cause.

Go out and check the resistance of your stockers, Mine were all between 320 -340 Ohms, Does that seem high to anybody? I realize th NGK's, taylors, etc. all advertise 50 ohms a ft. Do you think my wires are in need of replacement?
MSD 8.5 mm. Didn't notice any great performance gains. As a matter of fact, didn't notice any performance gains. But the wires are red, which looks neat.
