HELP, check engine light......
My check engine light came on the other day. My car has a K&N Filter with a cut fan shroud. The light came on while I was driving in the rain. Could it be that I got water in the intake or is it something else? How can I get a "code" that I see people ask about whenever something goes wrong. I drove the car 300 miles since the light came on, everything seems ok, but the check engine light is still on.
*** I just did an IPC codes check and it showed me "P0410 HC" which from what I read so far says "air system B" Does anyone know what this means??
I also had Stingers put on not long ago, could that be a factor also?

You are correct. Check the codes, decide whether or not it is a problem, then erase the code. Here are some good directions and code descriptions:

I doubt if too much water in the intake is your problem. You would not have been able to drive it if that were the case.

The P0410 code is the secondary air injection system. This system is used to lower the tail pipe emissions during startup. Since this is a emissions item take it in for warranty repair.

Can you tell me if the DIC codes for the 2001-2003 have changed that much from the 97-00 listing you post.
