Yes, especially torque, after the computer adjusted to it. It make a differance.
They orginally developed it to give the trucks more torque, the side is that
it also works on the LS1. I also at the same time installed a hood seal in
front and cut about 4 in. out of rear hood seal on the drivers side corner.
It does for me ! I don't know about any increase in horsepower,
but throttle response it notably quicker, and it feels as though
it produces more torque, quicker.
Notably "snappier" to use an expression.
Throttle lag, while almost nill in a fuel injected system, is even
less, post Vararam install.
So much so, the day I picked the car up, I tapped the gas
pedal to jump into traffic, and had an unexpected whiplash moment.
So, at least it might be good for a "pick me up" in the hole shot department.
But, I have a Corsa exhaust, and Blackwing air filter, you may need
free flowing mods like this to take advantage of it.. I am not sure.
So, when the guy in the left lane unexpectedly buries the gas pedal,
and you have lost time, as you need first to realize you are in a race, and then
react.. vararam provides an advantage to that overall reaction time, shaving fractions of a second from the throttle lag.
I cannot vouch for any dyno results, just actual driving results.
The increased "snappiness" can be felt at almost any RPM...afaict.
[QUOTE=AllCammedUp;1544961800]Ok, I'll bite on this and ask the question...what happens to the air that should be entering the PCV cavity? What do we do to ensure airflow to the PCV after this is installed? Is the cavity necessary, and what do we do (to the PCV system) when it is sealed off?
