Cutting Shifter
I am looking at cutting a half inch off my stock shifter handle and want to thread a nut on there first to chase the threads after cutting. Does anyone know what size nut I need and where to get it?

Available at any local hardware store.
But unless your shift **** is bottoming out on the threads, just cutting threads won't change the **** height, it will only lessen the number of threads in the shift ****.
If you can see threads below the **** with it screwed all the way down, then you will shorten it.
