I have a 99 coupe. I put a Donaldson Blackwing on and Borla (love the two tip version). What kind of headers do you recommend and what should I expect out of them? Will is be obnoxiously loud? How much would a muffler (or other) shop charge for installation?
I have heard a couple of different examples of the header/Borla combination, and I think it sounds incredible :smash: If you have an aggressive cam, it may be much louder, but on a stock engine I don't think the noise will be too loud at all.
My install of headers was $350, which may be a little on the high side but I chose a shop that I had extreme confidence in.

mikej1957,
I have a 99 coupe too w/donaldson and Corsa's. I'm also running FLP headers, hi-flow cats and x-pipe and got 24RWHP out of the headers alone. Very nice at normal throttle, but WOT gives me an aggressive growl. Installed my own but I would guess around 3-400 as mentioned above. Primary reason I went with FLP was service and the fact that it was a complete bolt on system.
I just installed FLP's to my Corsa Indy's. All I can say is WOW. The car is a Jeckel and Hyde personallity. At idle and light throttle hard to tell there is something lurking, but get past 4000 RPM's or go WOT and the car becomes a beast. The key to drivability (mine is a daily driver) is ZERO RESOANCE's. A Corsa trade-mark. I'm booked for a wide-band dyno tomorrow and will report back my new numbers. My last dyno yielded me 292 EWHP and 308 RHTQ, I had a LS6 lid, K&N Air filter and the Corsa Indy's. I have since added the following:
