Default Cooling Vette Question

About a week ago there was a thread about cutting some slots in the fog light inserts and removing some of the weather stripping between the hood and windshield on the driver side to promote airflow throught pressure diff. Has any one tryed just cuting the weather stripping. The reason I ask is because I have a Vararam intake and the area around the fog light inserts is all used for the intake. I was wondering if the two mods need to work as a system or if just cutting the weatherstripping will work.

Don't cut the weatherstripping - just undo and fold back a few inches on the driver side, draping it between the brake and clutch fluid reservoirs, so if you change your mind you can undo it easily. If I understand the various theories, it should help even without air from the fog light shrouds.

I was skeptical about this mod, but did it anyway, and in fact coolant temp did come down by about 20 degrees.
