What a nightmare. After much research and pinching pennies to have enough money for this project, I brought my 1999 C5 to SLP for the Head and Cam package. I left the car there for a week. When I picked it up and drove it up, it idled at about 2000 RPM's. I idled the 250 miles home at 65MPH!. I returned to SLP the next day to be told that this was normal. Though they advertise "...these parts operate with virtual transparency in everyday driving, retaining excellent throttle response, a surprisingly civilized idle..." theydid lower the idle slightly and sent me on my way. So, once I found the loose radiator hose that resulted in a coolant leak on the belts, replaced all the belts, spent over $6000 on H/C package, install, LS6 intake, timing chain, high capacity oil pump, dyno tuning etc., I have a beuatiful C5 that is not drivable. It did dyno 473 HP at the flywheel. I can't believe that you would even release the car in this condition. Not only is it not drivable, it is unsafe. Anyone else deal with this? :mad
