i am installing stainless works headers.....on the right side the 02 sensor hole is welded in the wrong spot......it angles the sensor towards the floor board :mad :mad :mad :mad can i heat the area around the 02 bung and bend it over about a 1/4 inch????? i dont know how well the stainless will bend..or will the weld break first????? i have had nothing but problems with the right side header....wheni got them the air tube wasnt fully welded...so i spent money on having it welded....and it is at the wrong angle :mad but i will bend the tube on the car to match i hope?any sugggetstions on the 02 bung would be cool.....i dont want to wait till tuesday and pay again to have the 02 moved over :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss :cuss
:D :D :D :D :D :D ahhhhhh it bent into position like melted butter.......i dont like heating up and bending a 1000.00 set of headers.....but it worked fine.....i will know in a minute if i bent it enough   its a beer break now
Sorry I didn't see your thread earlier. But it sounds like it worked out for you. I would give stainless a call about their mistakes. You should not have those kind of problems. :nonod:
Quality must be :nonod: good on these.Heat and bending of SS is ok, you should not have any problems from it.
I guess you will be asking them for some $$$ back
the top is all done......now got to get dirty underneath.....cut and weld the exhaust .....and lengthen the 02 wiring.....its beer break time again......i think the guy at stainless had a great weekend before he made my right side header.....the left side was perfect in every way.....i am alright with them tho.....shiznit happens...and i worked it out today so all is good :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
grrrrrr I suck at welding.....i spent a hour cutting in front of cats and welding on the adapters........then i see i have to also cut behind the cats and shorten rear 1/2 also....i should have got a corsa X-pipe while i am in here doing all this...i am going to the races ....this can wait till morning.....oh and by the way...i really do suck at welding....but the 2nd pipe looked pretty good...the first one i ground off my welds twice and redid them
all done and sounds awesome........except i either have a plug wire loose or a broken plug......i will let it cool down and check it out..............these were some of the easiest headers to install....it would have been nice to have a bolt in cat and xpipe assy but i am a better welder now   :steering: :steering:

It's nice to know I'm not the only one that doesn't weld very well, heres a tip for ya, the beer breaks do not help the welding :jester
i would be happy with a straight 10 RWHP.....these mods are all just stepping stones.....much bigger mods are planned and in the works.....hehehehehehehehehehe....stay tuned :blueangel: :D
