Who told you that? I replaced mine when I did h/c but that was because I wanted to and I was in there anyway. I would have replaced it if I were you just becuase you had it off and could put a new one in there but it doesn't mean it's going to break.
Relax and enjoy the cam. If you find you can't sleep, tear it apart again and replace it. :p:
