i'm planning to do the lines, calipers and rotors. i was reading a thread that said the rotors cracked but i think he was racing, i'm using them on the street. what have you heard and what do you think?
I've had them on my car for almost a year. I even go to the drag strip a couple times a month and I haven't had any problems.
They look really nice, but honestly are no better than the stock rotors. If all you do is the occassional outing to the drag strip or autox, then it would be best to stick with the stockers and invest the $$ elsewhere.
I drive it everyday almost and autoX once with the eradispeeds and they work fine. The stockers warped and cracked after a year and a half. THese Bears have worked just as well as the stockers for 9 months so far and they look awesome too. I also put on a set of 2003 Z06 pads.
They are for looks and street only! Not for track!
:withstupid: I agree, they look good, but I would take them off before heading to the any kind of competitive event.
Why take these off for a track event? Is there any evidence or first hand knowledge that they ar inferior? From my perspective, no - I've run half a dozen track events without issues, no cracks and no warping. Wioth SS lines and good pads I stop more effectively, lap after lap, than with stock rotors and I don't have to replace them.

This is a good reason NOT to buy stockers. My stock rotors started warping at 6000 miles.
has anyone install these? feedback. also where did you find them, they seem to be backordered from the baer. any comments?
Easy to install but unless you have access to a lift and a lot of time then it is just easier to have them installed by someone else.
Btw, Eradispeed's are great for looks and the street (as many will tell you) but you would be best off going with a LGM G2 or other big brake package if you want to run on a track. At least that is what I have been told.
Really like them, but as noted by others if your track bound on a regular basis go with a manufacture that is specifically set up to accomodate this requirement.
As a note, the Eradispeeds WILL WORK for occasional track racing. Have used mine many, many times.
As to availability, good luck. As I understand, there is an issue with parts availability (manufacture in Australia) which is making distribution of these most difficult at this time (and for the past 6-9 months!).
I am installing the DuraStops slotted and drilled, SS lines and Ceramic pads; unfortunately from all I've heard, drilled rotors crack under extreme heat. A few people I know and have talked to here on the forum have put on drilled rotors and have cracked them at Summit Point, a pretty harsh road course in West Virginia (lots of braking). If you are going to race once in a while, I hear they are ok, if you are going to race often there is a 99% chance that they are going to crack. FYI - the Porsche Rotors are cast with the holes, so the molecular composition of the metal is not compromised.

Info like this is very misleading. I installed a front pair last night and it took me no longer than about 40 minutes including the time to jack up the car (no lift). Its a total of 4 bolts that have to be removed, along with your 10 lug nuts for the front 2 wheels. Its a snap to install. The Rotor/Pad swap writeup will be on my website very soon :)

Re: C5 eradispeed rotors (jmX)
I'm ready to install very soon. I'll be watching for your writeup. yes, the bolt portion of the install seems so easy. I can't find anything though on the silly clips that come with the pads. :D Anything I should know about them before I tear the car apart? There are 6 clips with each axle set of my Raybestos Quiet Stop pads, confusing to say the least.
Also, looking at the pads out of the box there is no designation for inner and outer pads. How can I tell which is inner and which is outer?
I have Baer Eradispeed rotors that are slotted only. Not drilled. I got them from MSI. They are a forum vender. Mark got them to make up 6 sets of these and I think he still has a few sets.
I track my car often and have had nothing but great performance from these rotors.
I have had them for about eighteen months and think they are the nicest rotors i have seen and I have been to the strip a couple of times, they still look new, I also have a friend who is really hard on his car, and his cracked and looked like poopie after about 2 years so if your real hard on your brakes, think again :chevy
