I just received my CAGS eliminator and on the instructions they say to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Is this necessary? I prefer not to have to reprogram my raido stations etc. THANKS :skep:
Just do it. I don't think disconnecting the battery is necessary.
If you have the key out of the ignition switch, I don't even think there's any way for voltage to go the CAGS solenoid, so it would be very difficult to cause a short during install.
