Default I have aquestion about the Vortex Rammer install

When you install it do you only cut a hole the size of the bottom scoop (the Rammer) or do you cut the hole the entire size of the top box? Because the template is the size of the entire top box. When you did the install do you remove the hood of the car?

Cut to match the template. It will fit fine. No need to remove the hood, just turn the car upside down, that way you are working over your head, makes it easier  Just kidding, it's really an easy install, with the hood open. :seeya

as said. easy install. no need to remove hood. Just cut the template size, and make sure the template is not resting on the bolts at the bottom of the shroud, and is flush at the bottom. The hole should be the inside dimensions of the vortex box. I always use a sharp utility knife to cut the hole. I use a wax pencil to mark off with the template (girlfriends or wife makeup box will have a pencil like that in there ;)

It seems if you only cut the hole the size of the bottom scoop, then you would force more air into the intake because the air would have no place to go. Compared to cutting the hole the entire size of the top box, then the air would just circulate around the box and exit out of the front of the hole. I don't know, give me your opinions. Thanks
