Get pulley off water pump
Does anyone know how to get the pulley off of the water pump? I've got one that I would like to polish and removing the pulley would make it a lot easier.

Depends on the water pump you have. My original pump had four bolts holding the pulley to the hub on the pump shaft and was easy to take off. The replacement GM pump I put on had a one piece pulley/hub and was permenently pressed onto the shaft of the pump. I still have my original pulley which is a piece of steel and not that good for polishing. Chrome plate would be the way to go if you can get it off.

I put an 8 rib setup on it with a T-Trim and spun the hell out of it and the pulley spun right off the shaft!!! :eek:
Sorry, not the answer you were looking for. I have since welded the shaft to the pulley on my new pump.
