I installed the stingers last night(4-tip). The issue I'm having is that the over the axle pipe is pushed up against the tranny pan on the passenger side. Before I get back under the car and loosen eveything and start again did anybody ever run into this?? Tony

Not much help here, but when I installed mine we had problems getting the old exhaust out due to the pan, but not the new exhaust on. Only suggestion here is what you've already said....loosen up all the bolts and finagle it into place. It shouldn't be too hard.
There were a few reoprts of people having this problem here on the forum. I have a 6spd so I have alot of clearance, but you are not the only one to have the problem you describe. Most guys seemed to have went to an exhaust shop to have them make some minor adjustments. I would try loosening everything up once or twice more and see if you can fix it yourself first.
No problems with the transmission pan (A4) but did have a problem with one of the pipes leading to the tips being bent upward and contacting on bad bumps. Easily corrected with washers and dropping it down a half an inch. Was yours a GP item? Borla rushed with these orders and if all else fails I would think you could take them up on their million mile warranty. Good luck
I just asked a guy at Borla about tweaking the pipes to get even alignment. He told me to "push and pull". Of course, I was a little bit skeptical until I tried it. It works like a charm. The stainless steel is thin enough that it doesn't take a whole lotta force to create permanent bends, however slight. It makes sense since our systems are so light.
Thanks Dave. I tried again to realign the pipes. I was able to get an 1/8 inch separation. It doesn't seem to hit or make any noise. I hate sending things back so I will try my best. I can tell you one thing, I love my stingers...
