If you don't want to spend $180's+ you can just upgrade the bulbs. I have the PIAA 1100's and love them, and well worth the money. Check the Forum Mall /C5 GP for prices from one of the supporting vendors. I got mine from LAPD. ******I just looked and they're $190.'s from LAPD. Give Shawn a call.
I cheaped out and replaced the OEM 35 watt bulbs with some GE 55 watt bulbs. I believe the P/N is 885. I think I paid about $4 each at Wally World. They are a cheap, easy and fast upgrade that can be replaced quickly should one burn out. But the PIAA's are the way to go if you have the $$$$
West Coast Corvette sells the PIAA 1100x for $229. I would suggest shopping around. Can anyone tell me how easy/hard the electrical wiring is for this mod?
PIAA 1100x. You'll soon hear 8 other guys say the same thing.
The guy said he was looking for equal.. not a 200 dollar upgrade.. MY suggestion is changing to the 55 watt bulbs and actually aiming the fogs will yeild very good results... It is not until you aim the fogs do they really get bright... mine were actully aimed down and most of the light was hitting the facia... you cant tell untill you start to adjust them... its one bolt adjustment for each side... you can see a slot to the right or left of the lens.... park close to a white wall or garage door and watch the intensity grow as you aim these lights. Mostly everyone has them pointing down.

Yeah, what's up with that? Mine were too... I'm the second owner... they were so badly misadjusted I though they were damaged, but a quick adjustment with a T15 Torx through the hole in the shroud fixed that. Do they leave the factory like that?
Just swap out the existing lamps with some NAPA 885 (50w) bulbs. These replace the existing 893 (35w) bulbs and fit in the stock location. Less than $10...
yeah they leave the factory that way.... I saw them bring my car off the car carrier... and they where like that from the factory../.. the same guy that does the adjustment for the emergency brake must also do the fog light alignment.. Thats an Inside joke... that many will get... because of the poor adjustment , and after I added the 55 watt bulbs my fogs where ten times brighter..
