Check engine light?
I just bought a 2000 C5. The day i bought it the owner had it in the shop removing the main cats but leaving the pre cats. I picked the car up from the shop. About 3 hours later the check engine light came on. I assume it was beacuse the sensors are reading different now the cats are gone.
1. Is this destroying the engine?
2. How can the check engine light be turned off?
Any help would be great.

You need o2 sims for the rear o2 sensors or you need the rear sensors turned off with LS1 edit. The car thinks there is a problem with the emissions equipment and is setting off a code.
