Default Having trouble with gas gague!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took the Z to visit a buddy in Atlanta this weekend. I was crusing along and all of a sudden, the check gagues light comes on. I look at the gas guage and its below empty. I figure Im an idiot for not checking it more frequently on a 5 hour drive. Pull off, fill her up, and it takes 13.8 gallons. Isnt it a 15.5 gallon tank???? So why did it tell me I was below empty if I still had over a gallon of gas??? I figured it was just me being an idiot and went on my way. On the way home today, I made sure to watch the gas level, and sure enough, at 1/4 of a tank, the needle took a nose dive and I was below empty again. Fortunately, there was a rest area 2 miles ahead. Pulled off, filled up, and again, it took 13.8 gallons. I drove the remaining 90+ miles home and noticed that as I pulled off the high way, the needle was still on full. However, after I got off the highway, and was sitting in traffic, the needle dropped to about where it should have been after 90 miles on the highway. So it looks like when Im on the highway, and getting 25 mpg, the needle doesnt go down right away, then finally starts at a normal rate, and once you hit a 1/4 of a tank, you're actually empty and it nose dives. Ive never had this problem before with just city driving, but this is the first long road trip Ive taken the car on. Anybody have any ideas?????

You have a bad sensor in the gas tank. Just take it in for repair. They know exactly what to do.
